Balouch

Baluch rugs are tribal, hand-woven rugs created in the eastern part of Iran by nomadic Baluchi tribes. Weaved on strongly-spun cotton or goat hair, vegetable dyes are used to ensure color integrity, and over the years, a soft and subtle patina. The colors are predominantly a dark navy blue, rich dark purple, and some accents of beige. They frequently have an overall pattern of trees, flowers, or other nature-inspired designs.
